Malik Taylor better known as Phife Dawg: The 5ft Assasin; Mutty Ranks and The Trini Gladiator, is one fourth of the dynamic hip-hop group, A Tribe Called Quest, one of the first groups in the 90’s to achieve worldwide success with their classic punch lines, rhymes and jazzy drum heavy beats. Back in 1990 he was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and sadly on March 22nd 2016 due to complications relating to the disease, Phife Dawg passed away at the young age of 45. He is considered unquestionably to be one of the foremost major hip hop generals, and therefore to remember him with a mark of respect, Talking Music Productions and the Prince of Wales Brixton (POW) have joined forces to gather some special UK DJs for this one off event.

These Players champion the art and movement of hip hop music and media across various fields, from yesteryear to the present day and come together in an awareness campaign and fund raiser to go toward two distinct charities: Diabetes UK and The British Heart Foundation and to celebrate and pay their respects to the The 5ft Assassin.
