Alan Rosenthal is a lifelong foodie, his passion particularly fueled by years of traveling and of living in France and Spain, where he worked private chef-ing and in hotel restaurants; and acquired the apparently oxymoronic moniker of “the English boy who can cook”! After working as a chef both abroad and on the London restaurant scene, he started selling pots of stew at his local farmers’ market. After an overwhelmingly positive response to his creations, Alan started compiling a catalogue of recipes that became his inspiration for The Ultimate One-Pot Dishes. Alan has been a guest judge on the Good Food Channel’s cookery show, Perfect. Alan launched his company, Stewed!, in 2007 selling pots of stews to supermarkets. The company then went on to sell hot, premium, one-pot meals throughout the day from hot food kiosks in Reading and Clapham Junction stations.
