Restaurant Review: @TheRumKitchen

Online PR UK was asked to pop down to the newly opened Caribbean inspired, beach shack restaurant and cocktail bar The Rum Kitchen. It’s a delightful place tucked away on the quiet side of All Saints Road, near Westbourne Park tube station and offers an authentic ‘home-cooked’ feel to the West Indies menu. From Head Chef, Darren Williamson, you can expect robust, flavoursome, healthy cuisine; the finest Curry Mutton, mouth-watering Caramelized Banana pudding and his modern take on a Seafood Gumbo. Plus you simply have to taste his soon-to-become legendary, Salt Fish Fritters.

We absolutely loved the place, the ambiance is warm, colourful and true to type it also boasts over 100 varieties of rum. What is not to like?

We sampled the goat, salt fish fritters (and they truly lived up to their name) the gumbo and got slightly tipsy on their amazing cocktails – which I will most definitely return for…Ahem.

The cellar bar downstairs is the place to unwind with regular tunes being spun by DJ Fast, from the Fun Lovin’ Criminals. Their mantra is ‘no rain, no rainbow’. The ethos being; to leave your worries at the door; eat, drink and relax. If you are in the area, it’s a must visit. A true gem!
