How do you know if you are creating great content?
I mean, great enough to get people to tell you it’s great. Great enough that your products are shifting quicker, great enough that your brand is reaching out to more and more people on a daily basis?
Have you heard of Klout? Wanna know what it’s all about? Ahem.
Klout (@klout) is one of the best analytical programs around that’s what it is..AND it will measure your online influence on a scale of 1 to 100. A higher score means you are driving more online action. Which is obviously favourable! I absolutely LOVE how they describe social media…
“Social media has democratized influence.”
We now have influence, the people. Not just the journo’s and the DJ’s on the radio and the TV personalities. Us! YAY! And they are damn right. They continue by giving us a great example:
“Oprah’s opinion on literature has inspired millions to read titles from her book club. But you don’t have to be Oprah to have influence. You influence your friend when she listens to a song you recommend on Facebook. You influence your coworker when he checks out an article you posted on LinkedIn and shares it with someone else. Social actions like these are a reflection of influence.”
So this is all great. But to keep tabs on it all can be like looking for a pinch of salt in a pitch black room. Klout does all the hard work for you. It knows when and where you have been talked about, retweeted. mentioned, commented on, or liked and lets you know! It delivers insights for you to act upon and develop through your social media marketing plans.
It’s also a good way to keep you on your toes! If you want to improve your score (and this can get addictive!) you connect your networks and friends and add all you social media channels. You dish out +k’ to those that deserve and everyone’s happy! Read all about it here and Get involved!
